~ ORDERING YOUR CUSTOM PET PORTRAIT ~

Thank you for visiting!

Be sure to see the Gallery of pet portraits page for more dog portraitscat portraits, and horse portraits. These, and many more, were all commissioned by my clients as personalized giftspet memorials, or fine art portraits for their homes or offices.

With the visual aid of a reference photo (or photos) attached to an e-mail sent to me by the client, I primarily paint portraits in oil on canvas. (If the client prefers, I can draw a portrait using soft pastels on heavy-guage archival-quality Canson Mi-Teintes pastel paper. Pastel portraits come mounted on stiff, professional grade foamcore backing, and are tastefully matted in preparation for framing). Framing is not included.

Background for your pet portrait (optional)

A pictorial background, based on your photo or suggestion, can be requested to personalize your pet portrait and enhance it aesthetically. Background hues can be chosen to compliment room decor.

All that is needed is your emailed photo and a refundable deposit of 10% of the portrait fee to begin work on your portrait.

After I have accepted your photo(s) as a basis for the portrait, a refundable deposit of 10% of the portrait fee is required to reserve your place in my list of commissions. This deposit can be sent to me via PayPal or by check or money order via regular mail. PayPal payments are made through a link to PayPal’s secure payment webpage, which I email to you.

Then what happens?

When work on your portrait is complete, I will email a photo to you of the completed portrait. Reasonable alterations can be made to the portrait if desired. If at that time you decide to not proceed with purchase, your initial deposit is refunded to you. Once you have emailed your approval, delivery of the portrait is made (normally via USPS), commensurate with payment in full.
Portraits are shipped in a sturdy padded container and are fully insured in case of damage or loss.
To date, not a single client of mine has declined or returned their portrait. All of my portraits have been received by their owners without any damage, and none have been lost.

Money-back guarantee

Return your undamaged portrait within 15 days of the postmarked date for a full refund if you are not fully satisfied.

Credit or debit card payments via PayPal:
PayPal can process your payment even if you do not have a PayPal account! When you are ready to purchase your portrait, I will send you a PayPal invoice via email which enables you to do so using their user-friendly and secure online payment website.

Payment can also be made by check or money order.
